About Anjalie

I graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2024 with a B.S. in Public Health Science. In 2026, I hope to be enrolled in a Physician Associate Program where I can advance my passion for reproductive healthcare, menstrual equity, and expanding access to low-barrier healthcare, especially to vulnerable populations.

I have served on the board of both the Washington, D.C. and San Francisco chapters of PERIOD., a global organization that advocates for menstrual equity and addresses period poverty.

I got accepted into the 2024-2025 National Health Corps cohort and chose to serve at the San Francisco Department of Public Health as a Shelter Health Educator.

In my roles, from medical assistant to AmeriCorps member, I have seen the difficulties of navigating healthcare systems. The unhoused on the streets of San Francisco come from all over the country searching for sympathetic community and drawn by the excellent care offered by the City of San Francisco. Even in 2025, the city has maintained its counterculture roots by practicing radical acceptance of people in need, whatever may be their station in life. I am grateful to be a small part of the solution, if temporarily.
